Socially awkward and introverted to a fault no one ever said, “Bring Kate, she’s the life of the party.” But the insecurity and low self-esteem that hindered every other part of her life became the foundation on which she built a successful stand-up comedy career. Brutally honest and wonderfully animated she takes the mundane and makes it sparkle. She’s also a very nice human being.
A regular at all the Boston clubs including The Comedy Studio in Cambridge, Nick’s in Boston, Giggles and Dick Doherty’s rooms she has opened for local legends Steve Sweeney, Lenny Clarke and Don Gavin, to name a few. Katie has performed at The Riviera in Las Vegas and for the Broward County Police Association in Florida.
Katie has performed at The Boston Comedy Festival, The Toyota Comedy Festival, and the Marshall’s Women in Comedy Festival. She was a finalist in the Comedy Central Laugh Riots and was touted by the Boston Globe as “a comic on the verge of breaking out.”
She has recently started breaking into public speaking talking publically about her battle with alcoholism and depression and overcoming shyness and building self-esteem.
